Flag Football: Got Her Back

Girls, ages 6 - 18, who are interested in tackle and/or flag football showed up to Benjamin Banneker High School to participate in combine and skill drills and competitive sessions put on by the Women's National Football Conference (WNFC) and hosted by Washington, D.C.'s women's tackle football team Washington Prodigy.

Let's Get It Started

Campers arrived to the camp ready for what ever the Washington Prodigy players would throw at them.   After warming up , campers were separated into age groups and rotated among various skill drills before playing a side-line game of flag.

The campers were led by Kasee Hilliard, Wide Receiver, of the Washington Prodigy Women's Tackle Football team.

The 2nd annual Got Her Back football camp was held on October 7.  Twelve cities nationwide hosted free football camps to create opportunities for girls in football.  Camps were held in Atlanta, Denver, Dallas, Houston, Jackson, Jacksonville, Philadelphia, Salt Lake City and San Diego.  The Washington Prodigy were host for the DMV metro.

Got Her Back is a 501c3 non-profit organization of the Women’s National Football Conference that exists to celebrate girls & women in football. The mission of Got Her Back is to create connections & confidence in female football players through visibility, education and mentorship.
